Some of you may be wondering how work is going for me. It's going good I must say. I finally have kind of a dream job. All I do is drive all day. I've been working for the last month at Alder Auto Parts. Before that I was just delivering newspapers for the Sun/Province in the middle of the night. But two months ago I had to get a real job before I was completely broke. Here's a picture of my car, Miriam.

I call her Miriam because she's a Pontiac Firefly, just like Miriam in my Firefly stories. The next picture is an interesting message I found while assembling some shelving in our upstairs storeroom:

A quick but important announcement...

I know I usually have a Firefly story whenever there is a big announcement, but the one I am working on is long and needs massive re-wtrites. So it will come MUCH later.

Insert Clever Title Here When Not Too Tired To Think

Well, it's been a while since I last posted so here's an update on all that has been happening. After a small downtime last weekend HTT has landed on a new server. As I said in the previous post, my friend just wasn't able to keep me around. So now I am with Monster Hosting, they have some great hosting deals and were reccommended by Leanne. With this change will come other changes around here. I now have the ability to work with php and sql, so look forward to me putting them to 3v!l uses.

To celebrate I'm going to do the same thing I do whenever something cool happens around here... GET DRUNK!!! But just so you folks can get something out of it, I've posted a new story and a new side feature in the Firefly section, and you may also get drunk if it so suits you.

New Firefly Update

And it's not even a porn site...

Well, this is it. One glorious year and over a thousand hits since my first real website came online. It's been a very interesting experience and even though it's only a small-time site I take pride in the fact it's lasted longer and updated more than many other personal sites and blogs out there.

I'd like to thank my friends and other regular readers who pop in from time to time. I'd also like to thank folks like Mike Browne and Leanne Campbell who have inspired me to keep writing and updating as much as I have. I'd also like to give huge thanks to my friend, brewmaster, and webhost I/O Error who has hosted and maintained this site behind the scenes for a pitance in pay (don't worry, I'll pay the bill... someday) and a crappy little animated gif on my splash page.

To celebrate this occasion I've done a few things. First I fixed the error in the top banner that said HTT... was established in July 2001, not 2002. That is when my blog debuted, my first page went up soon after. I have also adorned my splash page with the words and music for the Monty Python classic Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life. It seemed appropriate. And my last gift to you, as promised, is the next Firefly story "Hotaru No Hikari". Click on the link below to go there.

New Firefly Update

There is one piece of bad news I have today. As I mentioned above, my webhost has been hosting me practically as a labour of love. But due to recent circumstances he may not be able to for long. So (obviously) this means HTT... may be without a home soon. It would be too easy for me to just write off this site, cut some content and move it back to the old Uniserve page. But I don't really want to do that, having my own domain means too much to me. Besides I have the damn thing renewed for ten more months. The problem for me is that since this is such a small site, it will be hard finding hosting cheap enough for me to justify the expense. So if anyone has any hosting ideas for me, let me know. I'll keep you updated on the situation.

Peace, Joy, And All That Sappy Shit

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or general happy greetings for what ever holiday you like.

I was hoping to do something nice here for the holidays, but I've been struck by a wicked case of holiday apathy this year. I would have liked to dress up the site, done a countdown, and maybe even given you folks a present like a new Firefly story or something. It's hard even to get feeling up to making theeffort to get to celebrations with family and friends.

Oh well,hopefully once I'm there I might feel better. Another potential celebration that could make up for my x-mas slacking is the first anniversary of HTT... landingit's own website. Some of you my reember the glory days when I still was on the Uniserve server. Well it's been almost a year (Jan 10, 2003) since the full site launched and I have almost reached a thousand hits. May not sound very impressive and other webmastwers would commit Seppuku if they're stas were that low. But I think it's just great for a humble (crappy) little site like mine. Hopefully a last minute push will make the two events line up. I've never whored for hits (other than just promoting my site), but this one time, could I be forgiven If i filled my front page with keywords like VIRGINS, SLUTS and PARIS HILTON VIDEO?
